Cub Scout Pack 509

Nestled in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains of Los Gatos, California, Pack 509 is a vibrant and adventurous community of families who are raising confident, kind, and capable young leaders. Our pack serves boys and girls in grades K–5, offering fun, hands-on activities that encourage outdoor exploration, character development, and lifelong skills.

Whether we're hiking local trails, building Pinewood Derby cars, camping under the redwoods, or lending a hand in our community, every Cub Scout in Pack 509 learns by doing. Our program is designed to grow with your child, offering age-appropriate challenges and plenty of opportunities to earn recognition for their achievements.

Pack 509 is more than just a Scout group—it’s a supportive network of families and volunteers who believe in the value of teamwork, service, and adventure. Come join the fun, meet new friends, and be part of something truly meaningful. We can’t wait to welcome you to the pack!

Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. Boys who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade can join Boy Scouting. You can join at any time of the year.
